Hi, I'm Lauro Guedes

Some of the key areas I work on include:\

• Reporting Platform Development: Contributing to a new query builder for affiliate reporting and improving how reporting data is retrieved and consumed
• Snowflake & Data Engineering: Working closely with Data Engineers using Snowflake to investigate datasets, validate reports, and understand data flows across systems
• Data Investigation: Analysing discrepancies between different data sources and tracing issues that affect affiliate reporting accuracy
• Data Pipelines & Ingestion: Supporting data ingestion and pipeline workflows to ensure affiliate data is correctly processed and available for reporting and analytics
• Legacy System Modernization: Maintaining and improving established applications while introducing better architecture and development practices
• Backend Engineering: Developing and maintaining backend services, integrations, APIs, and business-critical functionality
• Cross-team Collaboration: Working closely with Software Engineers, Data Engineers, QA, Product, and other teams to deliver reliable solutions

• Architected complex integrations with communication platforms like MS Teams and Slack, streamlining cross-platform data flow and notifications.
• Modernized legacy systems by implementing productivity-focused enhancements, including the containerization and configuration of XDebug within Docker environments.
• Reduced Mean Time to Resolution (MTTR) by leading root-cause analysis for critical incidents and complex software bugs.
• Cultivated a culture of quality by mentoring the team on PHPUnit best practices and advanced debugging techniques.
• Standardized technical knowledge through the creation of comprehensive documentation for system enhancements and integration workflows.

• Engineered core e-commerce features for the online store, enhancing the end-user shopping experience and site functionality.
• Integrated Google Shopping and other third-party systems to automate product synchronization and expand market reach.
• Modernized front-end architecture by developing responsive interfaces and custom templates for store themes.
• Optimized development workflows by implementing xdebug for deep-trace debugging, significantly reducing time-to-fix for complex bugs.
• Championed code reliability by initiating the suite of unit tests using the Pest framework to ensure long-term stability.

• Architected and launched a greenfield membership platform using Laravel and Vue.js, managing the full development lifecycle from initial concept to deployment.
• Engineered core features and maintenance for the Group’s flagship platforms, Kapsula and Braip, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Modernized legacy architecture of the Kapsula Platform by introducing a comprehensive suite of unit tests, significantly reducing regression bugs.
• Optimized platform navigation by refactoring complex menu logic within the Braip system to improve user experience.
• Spearheaded the transition to Jira, standardizing project management workflows and improving team collaboration and task visibility.
